Information we collect
When you submit a buyer or supplier enquiry we collect the details you provide — such as your name, company, contact details, and the commercial information relevant to your enquiry. We also record a coarse country signal and technical metadata (for example, the time of submission) to help prevent abuse.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish genuine submissions from automated ones. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data through this site, and we do not accept file uploads at this stage.
How we use it
- To respond to and progress your enquiry.
- To verify counterparties and coordinate transactions.
- To maintain records of enquiries and prevent misuse.
Legal basis
We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to commercial enquiries and, where relevant, to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Sharing & retention
Enquiry data is stored on infrastructure operated by Cloudflare. Notification emails, where enabled, are handled by a transactional email provider. We retain enquiry records for as long as necessary to progress and document the relationship, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact compliance@orthant.trade.
